Hello Team!  Hope that summer is finding you well.  Please bear with the length of this update but there are great things going on at Align that you will appreciate the details.

Updates From Last Newsletter

  • Quarterly Party: Thanks to all that showed up to the Nurse Week celebration at the new facility.  We had a great cookout and wonderful company.  And for those that could only stop by for a few minutes, we are glad that you did!

New News

  • New Format: We’ve standardized the heading of the newsletters to that folks can more easily find the information.  If you have any suggestions, don’t be shy.  Email or text Josh!
  • Daycare: Probably the greatest update that I’ve had the fortune to bring to everyone.  An exploratory committee met in early June to discuss creating a Daycare center exclusively for family members of our team.  There is much more work to be done but we are moving forward with this project.
    • How can you help?  As we move forward, we will be asking for your input and participation, again, don’t be shy.  It serves no one if we create a Daycare that isn’t compatible with anyone’s needs.
  • Corporate Challenge: In the future, Align is working to bring every member of the Align family healthcare and 401k.  In order to pay for these benefits, however, we need have growth to the tune of about 40-50 more Direct Care Staff to the team.  That said, given a long enough timeline, we will eventually hit this goal, but the faster we can hit this goal, the faster we will be able to roll out these premium benefits.
    • How can you help?  I challenge every member of the team, spread the word about Align Home Health and encourage your friends, colleagues, and people you know in the industry to apply.  There is no stronger reference than ‘word of mouth’.  By getting people you know to be good caregivers to onboard, we can continue to grow and the faster we can bring everyone more benefits.  It is in all of our hands!  Folks can apply at www.alignhomehealth.com/jointheteam

Caregiver Benefits: As we grow, our goal is to continue to bring more value to our team members in the form of incentives, bonus, and perks.  In short, having the best team members more than any other organization, means that you should be valued as the best team members.  So, this section will remain as a standard part of all newsletters moving forward and is reserved as a place for update regarding Caregiver Benefits…to which this month, there are many!

  • Holiday Pay: Starting July 4th, 2017, Direct Care Staff will receive holiday pay for holidays at the rate of 1.5 times your regular pay!
  • MyDealsApp: We have negotiated a partnership with My Deals.  It is discount app available on the Google Play Store and the iTunes for discounted rates on everyday things that you do anyways like Food, Shopping, and Entertainment.  Just click the links to install and contact Judy for the login credentials.  Some typical deals include:

  • First Aide Classes: We recently have had 2 team members achieve their certification to be able to teach first aide and CPR.  The class schedule will be sent out soon and will include evening and weekend classes so that everyone will be up to date!

Industry Corner: From time to time, here you can find industry updates from the care industry.  These are STATE REQUIRED READINGS for people in this industry in the State of Ohio.

  • Please visit the Health & Welfare Alerts website.  Catch up on all 2017 alerts.  The latest updates include:
  • Seizures: Changes in weather, particularly hot weather, can trigger seizures in people with specific disorders.  A good brush up article can be found by clicking here.

Hello Team!

Happy Nurse Week everyone!  We wanted to give everyone some exciting updates!  Apologies for the lateness in the month but there has been a flurry of activity thus far.

Benefit Packages: As most of you know, we have moved into a new, wonderful building full of potential.  The hope is that it will afford us the opportunity to begin rolling out an inclusive set of classes, bonuses, and benefits for every team member.  Our goal is to continue to provide each member of our team more value than any other agency around.  I am pleased to say that this process has begun.

Starting in late May, Align will be offering in-house CPR & First Aid training to all members of our team!  Kinks are still being worked out and this is the beginning of many, but it is another way that we would like to say thank you for all you do.

For anyone who’s CPR & First Aid certification is set to expire in May or June, we will allow amnesty until our classes become available.

Quarterly Party Alert: More exciting new, quarterly parties will start this Friday, May 12th from 12pm to 2pm.  Stop by 1616 Mardon Dr, Dayton, OH 45432 for a cook out with all the fixin’!  Hope to see you there!  Its an opportunity to mingle with your team and see the building for those who have not!  If you are interested in coming but scheduled to work, please contact Judy to help make arrangements for you to attend.

Hello Team!

Hope the new year is finding everyone well and Happy Valentine’s Day!  We wanted to give everyone some exciting updates!  Apologies for the lateness in the month but there has been a flurry of activity thus far.

Align’s New Home: By now, many of you have stopped by our new headquarters, 1616 Mardon Dr, Dayton, OH 45432.  For those who have not, we encourage you to come out and see the progress.  The construction crew is on target to wrap up at the end of this month, opening the door to the next generation of Align Home Health.

New Caregiver Benefits: Now that we have moved into the new building, we have the room to bring you exciting and creative benefits as Align Team Members that were not available before.  We would like your input into what options you would use if we offered it.  Please take less than 2 minutes to fill out the linked survey.  All entries will be eligible for a gift card next month just for providing feedback.

Hello Team!

Happy New Year to all!  We wanted to give everyone some exciting updates!

Knowledge Corner: A couple items to refresh…

  • 24 Hour Call – If there is a reasonable chance that you will not make your shift, it is appreciated if you could let the office know day before if you know.  Whether its childcare issues or you think you may be coming down with an illness, just giving us a heads up that there might be an issue helps in prevention planning with your clients.
  • Clock In/Out Policy – Just a friendly reminder, in order to get paid for a shift, you must clock in and out.  Without this information, we can be fined during audits.  Calling into the office to let us know that you have arrived is appreciated but is NOT a substitute for using the clock in and out system.  So please, clock in and out for every shift, even if you are late and/or leaving early.

Healthcare Updates: Please visit the health and welfare alerts website.  A new update has been posted regarding Winter Weather Advisories.  Remember, for those caregivers working with Special Needs clients, this is STATE REQUIRED READING.

Align’s New Home: I am pleased to announce that Align has moved to a new facility located at 1616 Mardon DR, Dayton, OH 454321616 Mardon

The new facility is going to allow us to grow and expand while offering our team a place for activities and classes.  With the space, given interest from the team, we hope to host activities that are relevant to you.  The vision of the new building is that it is very much your place!  Over the next month or so, the first floor will be renovated to be a state of the art facility where events can be hosted.  In the meantime, think about what type of events you would attend?  We have the space, but you have the collected interest.  If the team is interested and is willing to participate, Align can arrange and facilitate.  For instance, First Aid & CPR Training, Child Care, College Study Sessions, are all possibilities.  The way we see it, if there are 10 members of the team interested in Tuba Lessons and are willing to pay $5, that means we can arrange and pay a teacher $50 to come in and teach.  So, over the next two weeks, think about what you would like us to look into hosting.  A survey will be sent out for your input.  I encourage everyone, too, to stop by and check out your new home base!
