Team Update – 2020.11.12

Hello Team!

Just wanted to take a moment to keep everyone informed.

Top Things to Know

  1. PPE is required, especially masks
  2. Call Align if you have been exposed
  3. Align has PPE available upon request

COVID Update

I want to continue the congratulations of the Align Team for doing a great job with using PPE against the growing number of COVID-19 positive cases. Wearing a mask is not only the most effective way to prevent the spread of infection, it’s the easiest and cheapest way to promote safety for everyone and is REQUIRED.

COVID numbers continue to rise and with a vaccine still not available, please turn to the Ohio Department of Health and the CDC for updated recommendations.

If you start showing symptoms or think you have been exposed, please contact Judy or Kara for assistance. We have resources in place to help you get help.

Masks and PPE

Please reach out for all your PPE needs.  We are doing our best to fulfill each request.  Because PPE is required at all times while providing care, we understand the need and are working with state and local officials to maintain new supplies. Please just ask.

In Closing

With the winter months ahead, know that you have the support of the Align Support Team behind you. Lives continue to be enriched and saved from the work you do. The Align Team are truly the best at what they do each and every day. Thanks to each and every one of you.

Election 2020

For those that missed it, the Ohio Secretary of State has pledged to send every registered voter in the state an absentee ballot request.  If you have received it, it has been recommended that you send it in as soon as possible due to speculated delays with the postal system later in the year.  If you have not yet received it, click here.

The election is November 3rd, 2020.  Again, it is recommended that you get your ballot in as early as possible.

To get registered for the election, please click HERE.

Team Update – 2020.06.04

Employee Assistance & Diversity

It is important that we all take a moment to reflect on challenging moments that we face on a day to day basis. Unfortunately the end of the pandemic, political turmoil, and cultural unrest are not in the near future.

In times like these, some find it comforting and even necessary to talk about their feelings and issues.

Align continues to be a member of LifeServices EAP. This Employee Assistance Program (EAP) allows any member of the Align Family to access mental health resources 24 hours a day, free of charge. Their number is 800.822.4847 or go online HERE.

Align remains an equal opportunity employer and we celebrate the different backgrounds that make up this family. For those needing time off to join the protests, contact the Office to help with scheduling.

CDC Recommendations

Just as a reminder, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has not yet updated their recommendations with regard to physical distancing, hand washing, and the wearing of masks. Please stay educated and aware. All of the CDC’s recommendations can be found HERE.

PPE Availability

Align continues to receive limited numbers of PPE at the office and will make it available to those on a one to one basis. Please contact the office with your individual needs and we will try to fill them. PPE is available by appointment only for curbside pickup.

Align Mobile Plan

Hello Team!

Hope all are well and doing the best as possible during these trying times. Despite it all, your Align Support Team continues to find ways to provide you more value.

Recently, we have engaged with T-Mobile to deliver everyone in the Align Family a deep discount on mobile plans. As you may have heard, earlier this year, T-Mobile purchased Sprint Mobile making T-Mobile able to offer the best service at a very competitive rate.

Align working with T-Mobile is then able to offer members of our team an unlimited talk, text, and data plan on the T-Mobile network for just $25 per line. A couple of points of interest:

  • You can keep your current hardware if compatible on their network. Use this link and enter your IMEI located in the settings of your phone , written on the back, or by dialing *#06#: https://www.t-mobile.com/resources/bring-your-own-phone
  • You can keep your same number.
  • Payment would come from check withdraw
  • There is no commitment, contract, or start fee.
  • Boosters are available in areas of difficult connections including that of the client where EVV connectivity is a problem.

If you are interested in joining the Align Family mobile plan, please reach out to Judy and Kara to be added to the list.

Team Update

We hope everyone is doing well in this trying time. To all members of the Align family, you continue to do a great job despite these troubling times. Continue the great and ESSENTIAL work you have been doing and please continue to reach out with questions and concerns.

In order to reduce the impact of COVID-19 and to keep all Align Home Health Team Members as safe as possible, Align has adopted the CDC recommendations as company policy:

We are working with the American Red Cross to set up appointments to donate.

Team Update

3/19/2020

Dear Align Team Members,

Let me take a moment to address a couple questions we have been asked this week:

  • Until further notice we are not requiring client signatures. Caregivers should mark an “X” in the client signature section so that portion of the clock-out is complete. As always, please complete the clock-out process by checking off ADLs, especially Companionship.
  • At this time we are not requiring team members to take their temperature prior to working with clients. However, if you are sick, stay home.

Please remember to take precautions:

Wash your hands with soap and water constantly. If necessary, you can use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

Keep your distance from clients…no hugging!

If you see a change in your clients’ health, notify Align Home Health as soon as you can.

And if you are sick, please stay home and let us know.

We do have face masks on order. When they arrive, we will distribute them to all team members.

If you have questions at any point, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you!!!

Team Update

March 15th, 2020

Team,

In an effort to keep everyone informed, I just wanted to take a couple
minutes this weekend to relay some information.

This afternoon, the Governor stated some Ohio businesses are ordered closed
for in-facility operations like restaurants and bars. This does not include any
services of Align. We are, at present, operating normally.

The services that our caregivers, child care, and adult care personnel do
are critical into seeing that our community makes it through this crisis. Never
has there been a time that what you do on a daily basis been more important or
appreciated.

With school out tomorrow, if families are having issues with child care, the
State has authorized us to open our doors to anyone in need. For school age
children, a class room environment will be set up at our building. Please reach
out if we can be of service.

As more information flows, we will continue to keep you up to speed on the
latest.

Be well and take care of one another.

– Josh

To the Team…

March 12th, 2020

Just wanted to reach out to the team to let you know the Align Team is monitoring the situation with the COVID-19. As news breaks, we will do our best to keep you informed.

This afternoon it was announced that Ohio schools will be closed from March 14th to April 5th. Knowing the pressure this may place on working families, Align will open our doors to children in need. We will run a Spring Break Day Program for children at our facility for $5 per day. Please contact Judy for coordination at judy.nelson@alignhomehealth.com or 937-490-9249 (text or call).

Our goal is to get through this together so do not hesitate to reach out for help. If you have any medical questions, please feel free to talk to our nurses, Katie and Abby.

Being afraid or worried is a natural response to situations like this, but please remain calm. Social distancing from events or school closings is a preventative measure, not a response to an outbreak. There remains very few people in Ohio or the US that have contracted the illness, but being a parent also, I share your concern.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely, and keep you informed as best we can. Stay calm and work together.

– Josh
