Hello Team!

Align Team Daycare, ATD, is now accepting enrollment for children that have Title 20 funding. This is open to all employees, friends, and family!

As an added bonus, families of children starting the program now through March 11, 2020 will receive $100 per child (new enrollments only).

Valentine’s Day Festival: Its is that time of year for our annual Valentine’s Day Festival. This year, the party is going to be even larger than last year! We have scaled up and grown to make this the event of the season:

• Align Sweet Shoppe: Back by popular demand, the Align Sweet Shoppe will be in full effect! From 12p-3p, come to the office for the biggest selections of sweet treats since Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory!

• Align Hiring Event: We will be doing open interviews this day so, the public is welcome to attend and this is a great way for members of the team to receive a referral bonus. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE INTERESTED IN JOINING THE TEAM, PLEASE SEND THEM IN!

• Align Bounce House: Weather permitting, Tony the Tiger Bounce House will be available all day for kids of all ages.

• Mammography Van: Onsite, we will have the Premier Health’s Mobile Mammography Van seeing patients for breast imaging by appointment. The fine print:
  • All major insurances accepted.
  • Prefer people to make an appointment
  • MUST HAVE a physicians note to get 3D coverage on van
  • If under 40 must have a physicians note
  • Clients can be scheduled in 20 minute intervals (3 per hour)
  • Bill directly to insurance
  • Payment plans available for uninsured patients
  • Appointments can be made by calling:

We wanted to take a moment to give everyone an update on the team.

After completing the CEU send the cert to us and we will make sure it gets into your file.

Referral Bonus: We continue to seek talented individuals to join the Align family.  So, for anyone who recommends an Aide that successfully on-boards and remains an active member of the team for at least 3 months will receive a $100 bonus!

Align Life Centers

Concept Redesign: Starting in February with the hopes of being complete in March, the ALC is getting a facelift! We will be tailoring our layout to be more suited to providing care for individuals with more aggressive care needs. These efforts will be concurrent to the daycare construction.

Construction: After a delay over the holidays, construction has resumed. These efforts are to improve our ability to provide services in our daycare!  Over the next month or two, our facility will be upgraded to include a better classroom experience, a fenced in play area, and better ADA compliance for access to the building.

Hello Team!

We wanted to take a moment to give everyone an update on the team.

Benefit Corner

Retirement Savings Plan: We have partnered with Fifth Third Bank to offer members of our team access to a retirement savings plan.  If you are interested, please contact Josh for enrollment information.  These types of products are great for saving some month before taxes are taken out.

Financial Planning Class: Starting in January, we will be offering a FREE financial education class at the office on the weekends.  Initial topics will include how to make a budget, pay off debt, and save for the future, but we will also include any topics that the group is interested.  The first class is Saturday, January 19th from 2pm to 4pm.  Contact Josh to sign up.

Hello Team!

We wanted to take a moment to give everyone an update on the team.

Benefit Corner

New Financial Products: We are researching some new team benefits for you, but we need your input as to the level of interest.

• 401k – A group savings plan for individuals who want money deposited in their account directly from their paychecks before taxes are taken out.
• Financial Planning Courses – Classes head at our facility for our team about budgeting, saving, and planning money health.

Voting Promotion:  Thanks for everyone who has already sent in their pictures from absentee and early voting.  Your FREE MONEY will be disbursed after the election.  For those who are not aware of this program, we are compensating people that vote 2 hours of pay for voting and sending us a selfie with your ballot or “I voted” sticker.  Details can be found HERE.  The election is next week, Tuesday, November 6th!

In Closing

Good luck at your polling place.  Next week’s election determines who the new Governor of Ohio will be.  If you are unaware, the Governor has final authority on how much the State reimburses us for care, which directly effects how much we are able to compensate our team.  So, you are essentially voting for your paycheck, so you definitely have skin in the game!

But, regardless of who you vote for, just get out and participate!

Hello Team!

We thought we would put a resource page together for Election News since there have been a few questions!  Also, we’ve doubled the perk thanks to all the good recommendations.

Promotion

For any hourly team member that votes in the November 2018 election and sends Align a selfie with your “I Voted” sticker, you will be gifted a bonus equal to 2 hours of your hourly rate.  Tax Free.  Cold Hard Money.  No Questions Ask.  We must receive the selfie within 48 hours of Election Day.

Election Day

• Election Day is Tuesday, November 6th, 2018
• You must be registered to vote.

How to Register

• Registration Deadline Day is October 9th, 2018.

Who Are The Candidates?

The biggest question we have been asked is, “Who do I vote for?”  By clicking HERE and entering your address, you can see who is running in your area.

In Closing

Though Align has no official position for who you vote, we just want everyone’s voice from the team to be heard.  Too many good ideas go by the wayside when people refuse to stand up.

Specifically for what we do for a living, the majority of the people we care for are funded by state backed programs.  This years election, we, Ohioans, are choosing a new Governor, which can directly impact the work we do, the funding we received, and indirectly, your pay!  Do not fall under the false belief that this is not an important election!!

June Caregiver Newsletter

Hello Team!  Hope that summer is finding you well.  Please bear with the length of this update but there are great things going on at Align that you will appreciate the details.

Updates From Last Newsletter

• Quarterly Party: Thanks to all that showed up to the Nurse Week celebration at the new facility.  We had a great cookout and wonderful company.  And for those that could only stop by for a few minutes, we are glad that you did!

 

 

 

 

 

 

New News

• New Format: We’ve standardized the heading of the newsletters to that folks can more easily find the information.  If you have any suggestions, don’t be shy.  Email or text Josh!
• Daycare: Probably the greatest update that I’ve had the fortune to bring to everyone.  An exploratory committee met in early June to discuss creating a Daycare center exclusively for family members of our team.  There is much more work to be done but we are moving forward with this project.
  • How can you help?  As we move forward, we will be asking for your input and participation, again, don’t be shy.  It serves no one if we create a Daycare that isn’t compatible with anyone’s needs.
• Corporate Challenge: In the future, Align is working to bring every member of the Align family healthcare and 401k.  In order to pay for these benefits, however, we need have growth to the tune of about 40-50 more Direct Care Staff to the team.  That said, given a long enough timeline, we will eventually hit this goal, but the faster we can hit this goal, the faster we will be able to roll out these premium benefits.
  • How can you help?  I challenge every member of the team, spread the word about Align Home Health and encourage your friends, colleagues, and people you know in the industry to apply.  There is no stronger reference than ‘word of mouth’.  By getting people you know to be good caregivers to onboard, we can continue to grow and the faster we can bring everyone more benefits.  It is in all of our hands!  Folks can apply at www.alignhomehealth.com/jointheteam

Caregiver Benefits: As we grow, our goal is to continue to bring more value to our team members in the form of incentives, bonus, and perks.  In short, having the best team members more than any other organization, means that you should be valued as the best team members.  So, this section will remain as a standard part of all newsletters moving forward and is reserved as a place for update regarding Caregiver Benefits…to which this month, there are many!

• Holiday Pay: Starting July 4th, 2017, Direct Care Staff will receive holiday pay for holidays at the rate of 1.5 times your regular pay!

• First Aide Classes: We recently have had 2 team members achieve their certification to be able to teach first aide and CPR.  The class schedule will be sent out soon and will include evening and weekend classes so that everyone will be up to date!

Industry Corner: From time to time, here you can find industry updates from the care industry.  These are STATE REQUIRED READINGS for people in this industry in the State of Ohio.

• Seizures: Changes in weather, particularly hot weather, can trigger seizures in people with specific disorders.  A good brush up article can be found by clicking here.
